Nagano

Nagano, the capital city of Nagano Prefecture, Host of the 1998 Winter Olympics, An outdoor sports mecca particularly famous for skiing and snowboarding. Matsushiro, the former castle town of the Sanada clan, is located in the southern part of the city. The town retains an historic atmosphere, preserving many samurai residences, temples, and gardens of the feudal period, including the remains of the castle and mansion of feudal Lord Sanada Jumangoku. Often called the "roof of Japan," it boasts the highest mountain ranges in the country.

Sai Ngaam

at of Phimai town,a huge banyan tree named Sai Ngam occupies an entire island in a small pond. Commonly known by its Latin name Ficus, or Golden Fig, the banyan is very significant symbol in Buddhism as it is believed that the Buddha enlightened while sitting in the shade of a banyan tree.

Phimai Historical Park

Within the Park is the Phimai Sanctuary, one of the grandest and most important Khmer Historical sites in Thailand. The word Phimai appears in an inscription on a stone slab at the front doorway of the building as well as in many other structures.

Togakushi Shrine Okusha

Togakushi Shrine consists of five shrines, known as the lower, middle, and upper shrine area, each area about 2 km apart.

Obuse has a museum specifically dedicated to Hokusai’s artwork and exhibits a unique collection you can only witness there. You can also learn how Hokusai influenced international famous artists, such as Vincent van Gogh, and how Hokusai’s art style developed and changed over his life.

Togakushi Ninpo Museum

This museum exhibits various items related to Ninja. It is in the restored grain house in Edo period. It is in front of Okusha hall of Togakishi Shrine.

Kids Ninja Village

The Kids Ninja Village is a small theme park with ninja related attractions located at Mount Togakushi in Nagano City, the legendary home of the Togakure Ninja School.

Shimoguri-no-Sato

Shimoguri no sato is a secluded valley practically enclosed on all sides by tall mountains and is known as one of Japan's three most "hidden" valleys.
