Mt. Fuji & Fuji Five Lakes
Mount Fuji located on Honshu Island, is the highest mountain in Japan. An active stratovolcano that last erupted in 1707–08. It stands on the border between Yamanashi and Shizuoka prefectures and can be seen from Tokyo and Yokohama on clear days. Mount Fuji's exceptionally symmetrical cone, which is snow-capped several months a year, is a well-known symbol of Japan and it is frequently depicted in art and photograph.
There is one of the best places to view Mount Fuji from a close distance and a good base for climbing the mountain: The Fuji five lakes. It consists of Kawaguchiko, Saiko, Yamanakako, Shojiko and Motosuko, also called Fujigoko, it lies at the northern base of Mount Fuji about 1000 meters above sea level.

Head up to the 5th Station along the Subaru Line. The 5th Station is situated at 2,300 meters (7,546 ft) above sea level. At this height, you will be amazed at spectacular, breathtaking views from above the clouds.
Mount Fuji Panoramic Ropeway
The Mount Fuji Panoramic Ropeway ascends 400 meters from the eastern shore of Lake Kawaguchiko to an observation deck near the peak of Mount Tenjo. From the observation deck, which sits more than 1000 meters above sea level, there are panoramic views of the lake below and of Mount Fuji.
Fuji Five Lakes
The Fuji Five Lake region lies at the northern base of Mount Fuji, they are the lakes Kawaguchiko, Saiko, Yamanakako, Shojiko and Motosuko. It is one of the best places to view Mount Fuji from a close distance and a good base for climbing the mountain.
Oshino Hakkai
Oshino Hakkai is a touristy set of eight ponds in Oshino, a small village in the Fuji Five Lake region, located between Lake Kawaguchiko and Lake Yamanakako on the site of a former sixth lake that dried out several hundred years ago.
