Miyazaki
The capital of Miyazaki Prefecture, Japan's birthplace, is located on the south eastern coast of Kyushu. It offers a peace park, seaside shrines, and great surfing and cycling. Miyazaki used to be the top honeymoon spot and a popular destination with domestic travelers until the 1980s, this city has more sunshine than anywhere else in Japan.
Takachiho Gorge
Takachiho Gorge (高千穂峡) is a narrow chasm cut through the rock by the Gokase River. The nearly sheer cliffs lining the gorge are made of slow forming volcanic basalt columns which resemble the scales of a dragon where the stone twisted and flowed as it formed.
Udo Shrine
located on the Nichinan Coast south of Miyazaki City, is dedicated to Yamasachihiko, the father of Emperor Jimmu, the mythical first emperor of Japan. This brightly painted shrine is set in a cave on the side of a cliff overlooking the ocean and so enjoys a spectacular view.
Heiwadai Park
Heiwadai Park or Miyazaki Peace Park is a municipal park in Miyazaki, Miyazaki on Japan's Kyushu Island. A popular honeymoon destination for Japanese couples, the park's Peace Tower has generated controversy because of its place in Japanese history.
Nichinan Coast

Aoshima Island
Aoshima Island (青島, Aoshima) is a small, beautiful island just off of the coast of the resort beaches south of Miyazaki City. Aoshima is connected to the mainland by a bridge and is ringed by white beaches surrounding a subtropical jungle at the island's center.
Aoshima Shrine
This shrine located in the center of an island with a circumference of 1.5 km, surrounded by mysterious rocks known as “Oni no Sentakuita,” or the “devil's washboard.” The contrast between the shrine and the tropical and subtropical plants on the island creates a unique atmosphere that is both Japanese and tropical. It is the setting of the love stories of Umisachi-hiko and Toyotama-hime in Japanese mythology, and said to be good for marriage, easy childbirth and so on.

Miyazaki Shrine (宮崎神宮, Miyazaki Jingū) is the oldest and most important shrine in the city. Dedicated to Emperor Jimmu, the mythical first emperor of Japan, it is said to have been established over 2600 years ago.
Miyazaki Prefectural Museum of Nature and History
Miyazaki Prefectural Museum of Nature and History is a prefectural museum in Miyazaki, Japan, dedicated to the natural history and history of Miyazaki Prefecture. The museum opened in the grounds of Miyazaki Jingū in 1971.
