Nara
Nara is the capital city of Nara Prefecture located in the Kansai region of Japan. Located less than one hour from Kyoto and Osaka. Due to its past as the first permanent capital, the city remains full of historic treasures, including some of Japan's oldest and largest temples. Together with Kasugayama Primeval Forest, collectively form "Historic Monuments of Ancient Nara", a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Kasuga Taisha Museum
A modern building near the main shrine, this treasure house contains beautiful artifacts including makie lacquer boxes inlaid with gold, rare swords, samurai armour and artworks.
Saho River
This is Nara City's largest cherry blossom spot, also counted as a “Landscape Asset of Nara”.
Koriyama Castle
The castle park is quite spacious and during cherry blossom season it’s a pleasure to walk along the castle moat. You’ll get a great view of the moat and the extensive castle walls, all surrounded by beautiful pink sakura.
Asuka Strawberry Picking Park
Open from January through May, this farm offers all you can pick and eat strawberries. They grow a local variety called Asuka Ruby which is known for its sweetness. The greenhouse strawberries are grown at about waist height, so picking is easy.

Shinyakushiji Temple
Shin-Yakushi-ji is a Buddhist temple of the Kegon sect in Nara, Japan. It was founded in 747 by Empress Kōmyō. Initially a large complete Shichidō garan temple, it suffered from fire damage and deteriorated during the Heian period. The temple was revived during the Kamakura period.
