Dear Melody, rnrnYes, we have made it back safely to Malaysia on Monday, rested and now I am back to work with a super busy schedule.rnrnOverall, we are happy with our trip to Busan and happy with the service provided by you. However some feedback we hope to highlight and will get your favourable attention for future improvement, nothing really major - see below.rnrnOn itinerary:rnOn Day 3 (20 Nov), where we were suppose to go back to Busan Museum for the hanbok, we still didn't manage to do this. Further, we also didn't manage to cover all the places as per the itinerary, ie. we did not go to Jagalchi Fish Market and the Yongdusan Park. Traffic was not so good and our driver cum guide's driving was a bit "inexperience". I suppose, these could have been better managed and we relied on you and the guide to ensure time management is proper so that what was committed to us are delivered. Yes, we were the one who asked the guide to skip these two destination, otherwise we would not be able to make it on time for our cruise. Even after skipping these two destination, the time spent at the International Market was too rush.rnrnrnAs for the cruise, we didn't quite enjoy it. Firstly, the journey was really shallow and yet the price that we have to paid was exorbitant. Personally, although I was the one who asked to include a cruise, I would expect that it better be a good one that is "value for money". If there is no such cruise in Busan, I presume Novaland could have advised me strongly not to include this in our itinerary. Whilst we have to pay for this, we also sacrificed two places which we have also paid.rnrnOn the tour guide:rnKim is a nice lady and she was very patient in explaining and answering all our questions. Although communication was difficult occasionally, we managed to make it through. Hence, we are actually happy with her service and did give her some tippings. Because our hotel was located in a narrow lane and entry and exit are a little difficult, she scratched her car on the way out of the hotel on Day 3, hence we do sympatise with her. Dear Miss Lillian Lynn, rnrnWe are returned from two weeks in Japan. We had a most exciting informative transformative trip experiencing the culture and history of your beautiful country.rnrnThe arranging of our time in Kyoto both to and from as well as while we were there made our trip that much more enjoyable.rnrnOur hotel was right across the street from the main Kyoto station where the fast train dropped us off and picked us up. That alone was terrific. Our tours went without a hitch. Our trip to Himeji Castle and surrounding area was a real highlight of the trip made more so by the truly outstanding guide who took care of us from beginning to end. She was terrific.rnrnIf I was your boss I would give you both a raise.rnrnThanks again.rnrnAlan Schaeffer NLT-151108-BK59239

Hello Siva. You are quite correct. It is a long flight from Jeju to Saskatoon, particularly when the Air Canada flight is 3 hours late leaving Incheon. That said, our Korean trip was very much enjoyed and we thank you for helping make the trip a very positive experience. Your attention to detail is commendable (值得赞美的,可推荐的). Your choice of our driver/guides was excellent. Mr Oh was like one of our own sons – respectful, caring and good natured. He made our tine in Seorak and Seoul special and was very generous with his time. Our one complaint about Seorak (and it could have been my fault for not being clear) was that our hotel was not within the park as we wished. There was nothing wrong with the hotel you picked, just its location. Our driver/guide Victor (spelling ?) on Jeju Island was also very good. He is very knowledgeable about the island and was patient with our many questions. He was also flexible in adding a visit to a traditional village. We enjoyed the hotel in Jeju and its downtown location. It may be some time before we return to Asia but we will certainly recommend your company to friends visiting Asian countries, Thanks again for your services, Garth NLT-151031-BK63400

Hello Ms Lilian!rnrnThanks for your email..Sorry I wasn't able to feedback due to busy schedule.rnrnI guess you may back your home after finishing your journey. May I ask did you have good time arranged by us?rn rnYes, we did...We so love our tour with Novaland..We did enjoy Kawaguchiko experience--the onsen, the Mt Fuji View, the food was superb! That was our favorite hotel!rnrn1. How is our service throughout your tour from any aspects you feel? Such as our travel consultant, tour guide’s, drivers or others’ attitude; hotels, transportations, scenic spots’ arrangement; and any other words you would like to say to me.rnrn***Service was great. Coach was ok..Driver was friendly though sometimes he drives a little off..Overall, he's nice and a happy person. Our tour guide Daiki was exceptional! He's very accommodating, kind, a bit shy though in a good way, very sweet, generous and always listens to all our requests. We so love him!!!!rnrnHotels are good..The best hotel for us was Kawaguchiko then Royal Brighton in Kyoto and the one in Osaka..rnrnSo far, everything was superb! Scenic spots, etc.rnrnTravel consultant Ms Lilian was always prompt to answer all my queries! Such an amazing agent!rn rn2. Where can we improve to be better and stronger? rnrn***Upon airport arrival we hope that the one who will pick us up will be there already..But we do understand that sometimes, we have to wait..We do encountered some bumps like the tickets that we are supposed to have--Disney Sea but instead we got Disneyland..Anyway, everything was well compensated for the mistakes.rn rn3. Any other valuable comments, travel experience and happy moments you may have.rnrn***We will truly get and recommend Novaland tours!rn rnMoreover, for you next trip arranged by us, you will enjoy benefit of deducting USD80/group from your full amount of next tour package with over 5 days duration. rnrn***Thank you! I will keep this in mind...rnrnLooking forward for our next travel with you!rnrnThanks and God Bless, Rhea NLT-151021-MK60537

Hello Lillian,rnThank you for reaching out to me. I was going to send you an email, just trying to get over the jet lag. I’m back at work and things are good.rn rnFirstly I really want to thank you for your patience on arranging our tour and your suggestions and tips. Really appreciate it. I have nothing but good things to say in dealing with you.rn rnWhen it came to the bus tour. The tour guide Paul, wasn’t really a good fit. We didn’t find that his English was good enough, so that when he had to translate something it took him quite a while and we lost interest in what he was talking about. Actually his Korean wasn’t very good either.rn rnHe made it known right at the start that he was a Christian (which is fine), but the majority of the bus aren’t religious. When he found out that my sister in law is a United Church Minister, he then continued to talk about religion. Yes some of the info was pertinent as we were going to a Buddhist Temple.rn rnAt the end of the tour, he was talking about things we already knew, like our baggage weight restrictions on our checked bags, our carryon baggage and departure time allowance. We all arrived to Seoul fine and had already been aware of the baggage and time allowances.rn rnHe told my daughter in law (since she spoke Korean) that we all needed to tip him 10,000 won each. We did reluctantly. I knew that the tip for the guide and driver weren’t included, but I didn’t expect to be told what we had to tip. We would have tipped him but certainly not $170.00. We didn’t think he was worth it. I also then thought that maybe this is for partly the driver, but found out from him that he wasn’t going to share. So this didn’t sit well with us.rn rnWhen we first reached Gwanjiu, the bus took us to a Folk Museum centre and it was closed on Mondays. I looked at our schedule and it wasn’t even listed? Maybe he had extra time. It was our first stop, so it didn’t sit well that the first place we go to is closed. He did try and get us to pay 10,000 won each for admittance to a art gallery which was next door. We declined. Lunch he suggested a place which was a bit pricey for everyone, but my husband and I had already discussed paying for a meal for everyone to thank them in coming to Korea to attend our son’s wedding. So it worked out and everyone enjoyed the authentic Korean dining experience.rn rnThe Ramada Inn in Gwanju was really nice and very welcome to everyone. We’re not used to the hard beds that the typical Korean sleep on, so having a hotel with more comfortable beds for the one night was great. Having the breakfast included was very nice as well and made for the early morning easier.rn rnThe tea plantation was amazing and so beautiful, we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Actually everything that we had planned was enjoyed, again we just didn’t think that Paul was a good fit for us.rn rnThe Japan portion of our trip worked out well. Arrived in Osaka and got our rail pass, made it to Hiroshima and then back to Osaka. This is where it got bad. We couldn’t find the hotel and then Tony went into a hotel and they directed us to a hotel, too far away and it was wrong. We then got back to the right area, we just didn’t know which way to turn. A young man came and walked us to the hotel, which turned out well as by that time the street life, wasn’t good. Ladies of the evening and their pimps were around. I don’t know if I’d recommend the hotel in Osaka, just given the area. It was only one night for us, so fine.rn rnThe tour guide and driver picked us up promptly at the hotel and the days tour was great. He was fun and knew a lot since he lives in the area. The day ended with them dropping us off at the train station onto Nagoya.rnHad a great day there and went to the Noritake Museum/outlet and then the Toyota Science Museum. Both were great and the hotel in Nagoya was good.rn rnWe went on to Tokyo and the hotel that your arranged for us was very nice. It worked out well for us with access to the subway close.rnThank you again for all of your assistance. rnDebbie McCallum NLT-151016-TK54665

Hi Tina, rnrnThank you again for arranging our tour itinerary. It was our first time visiting Seoul and Jeju Island for all seven of us and it will always be our fondest memory forever. We had such a wonderful time. The tour itself was quite at a fast pace, knowing we have only a limited time and cramming to see as many places as possible, we were tired but very happy to see so much of Seoul on our first visit.rnrnEnclosed here are three photos: when five of us arrived in Incheon Airport on the 1st day, a group photo of us all taken in Suwon Hwaseung Fortress and Hallim Garden, see how much fun we have! rnrnBelow are some of our thoughts and feedback:rnrnTour consultant –Since it was our first time to South Korea, we were relying on your expertise and guidance for the attraction places. You did a wonderful job in putting the itinerary together. We love Nami Island the place is beautiful, not because of the K-drama “Winter Sonata” being filmed there but because of the foliage. We took a number of beautiful pictures there. Due to the time constraint, I believe JSA tour was skipped but it would be good to include it as part of the DMZ attraction in the future. DMZ was also a memorable tour for us. Now that we had finished the tour and knowing what the attractions are, there were a couple of places that we would probably skip if we were to go to Seoul again.rnrnTour guides – We enjoyed having Julie (Seoul) and Susie (Jeju Island) as our guides. They were very gracious, accommodating and patient. Thank you to Julie who arranged to have SunBee Hotel kept a few of our luggages in the hotel until our return from Jeju Island. One of us was flying to Malaysia before returning to US therefore she had additional luggage + we did so much shopping in Seoul that we had a couple more luggage that we did not want to haul to Jeju Island. rnrnDrivers – All the drivers were gracious but spoke little or no English. It would be nice for them to point out some areas or landmarks on the way to Seoul or on the way to the airport. Mr. Lee was punctual to pick us up to the Incheon airport for our departure flights. We arrived at the airport with plenty of time to go through the check-ins, security and shopping at the duty free shops. There was an incident where we had some slight misunderstandings due to language issue with Mr. Baek who picked us up from the Gimpo Airport to the Doo Guesthouse. We thought he was supposed to drop us off in front of the guesthouse but later found out that he was not allowed to drive through the alley where the guesthouse was. Later Mr. Baek assisted us in pulling some of our luggages to the Doo Guesthouse from where he parked the van. Thank you Mr. Baek!rnrnHotels – We love the location of our hotels and guesthouse. The hotels were centrally located and convenient to the places where we can walk and experience the street food and shopping. We enjoyed our stay in SunBee Hotel very much. The room was large and clean. The front desk staff was friendly, helpful and they spoke English. We’ll definitely stay in SunBee Hotel again. rnrnHowever, we had a few issues with the Ever Hotel in Jeju Island. The room was clean but the wooden flooring was a little sticky, probably needs a good cleaning. There were no slippers in the room. We felt the soap in the bathroom had been used before. The hotel issued only one access card for each room which caused some inconvenience since there were two of us sharing the room. We were informed breakfast in the hotel was only from 7:00 am to 8:00 am but we noticed people were still allowed to come to the dining room after 8:00 am. rnrnEven though the rooms were small, we love Doo Guesthouse. It was such a nice traditional hanok. We truly had a good experience staying in the guesthouse. You are right in advising us to stay up to two nights. Thank you for the advice. Breakfast was simple but it brought up back to the basic living. rnrnFood – Thank you in arranging for us to experience the local delicacies for lunch as part of our tour. The braised chicken cooked in black sauce and seafood pancakes for our Day 2 tour lunch was simply delicious. We went back to the restaurant and had a 2nd round of the same food for dinner on the last night of our stay in SunBee Hotel. In Jeju Island, we thoroughly enjoyed the Wellbeing buffet, thank you for adding this buffet as part of the local delicacies. The locally grown vegetables were delicious. On the 2nd day, we had a choice of Jeju BBQ or bibimbap but since we had already tried the BBQ (after our Nami Island tour) and bibimbap (had it in the Korean Folk Village), we requested for abalone porridge instead. We heard that the abalone porridge was famous in Jeju Island and we wanted to try it so maybe Novaland should promote and include this delicacy for lunch. Anyway, Susie was gracious to accommodate our request for abalone porridge. Thank you Susie!rnrnAnother feedback is when lunch is not included in the tour, we suggest the tour guide discusses with the group the options of what to eat and then recommend where to eat. This situation came up when we were brought to a restaurant for lunch and some of us prefer to eat something else.rnrnTransportation – The bus/vans were clean and spacious for 7 of us. Thank you for providing comfortable transportation. rnrnService – the services from everyone who contributed to our trip was very good. We do not have any negative words to say.rnrnOverall Novaland Tours did a good job organizing our private tour. I’ll contact you/Novaland Tours again when we decide to plan another vacation, probably in 2017?
