HI Tina, We had a fabulous time with Young on the tour. He was extremely knowledgable and really went above an beyond any of our expectations. With our group, we had a lot of preferences in terms of touring and dining, and Young always seemed to find a way to meet the needs of our group. Some highlights of the trip included all of the variety of dining that Young found for our group. We were able to experience many different types of meals and not eat the same type of food twice. In addition, Young always had very good historical knowledge about a place and the traditions. We were able to see many more places than we anticipated we would be able to see on the trip. We will definitely be recommending Novaland to all our friends and we will plan on booking tours through you again the next time we are in the far east! I will also plan on including a writeup of our experience on Tripadvisor. Thank you!

Yes, we are back now at home. We fell sick but it was just normal flu which I got from Indonesia. We had a good time. The place we visited are good. The tour guides are very accomodating. The only thing is we probably arrange little too busy schedules. If we havent been somewhere else before Korea that would have been fine though. So in all, everything is good and we enjoy the holiday.

We had a very emjoyable first day. Lots to see eat & do. Looking forward to another supee fun tomorrow. Dear Alice, This is to let you know that all of us found our packaged tour in Sapporo/La Toya to our utmost satisfaction. This is largely due to our very gracious and knowledgeable tour guide, Ms Kiyoe Narita. Ms. Narita has honed her skills so well in handling tourists and provided many valuable insights and tips that rendered our stay even more productive and memorable. In La Toya, she did not leave until the problem of erroneous room booking was settled. For this, I request that you reimburse her for the overseas call charges she incurred while settling the issue between Novaland and La Toya Resort. Since posting pictures of our daily tours on Facebook, I have received queries on who our travel agent is and the logistics of such a holiday. You can well expect that I will be recommending Novaland Tours to these friends. Once again, thank you for an enjoyable trip which was my 60th birthday treat. Josie Aliwalas

Hi. I realize this got buried in my email when I got back. Overall we enjoyed our tour very much and my parents tell me they had a good tour in China. I forwarded your email to my parents so that they could respond to you directly w/ their feedback. Regarding my feedback on the Korean tour, I wrote you w/ some feedback already right after our trip ended at the end of May, but in case you are missing it, here’s what I wrote: Hi Tina. Other than the glitch at Hanwha Resort, we have had a very good tour. We said goodbye to our guide and driver tonight. They were very professional and excellent. My parents enjoyed talking with them and Mina (our guide) was very good with our two kids. Some feedback to you about the resorts: The Hanwha Resort may have said the family room could accommodate 6 people, but I think that would only be true if four of the persons were kids. Having two adult and two kids on the floor really wasn’t practical. At most, one adult and two kids could sleep on the floor… I appreciated that you did the right thing in getting a second room for our party. When we booked the tour, my understanding was that my parents would have their own room separate from ours and we’d have our own beds — the original room reservation did not meet the agreed upon lodging arrangements. Having said that, the room for four people is very nice and I’d recommend it for future guests so long as the group was no more than five people. (I might recommend for future tours choosing an alternative hotel if this situation arises again…) They had a great breakfast. The November Hotel was hard to find, but a really excellent establishment. Our favorite lodging of them all. Great decor. We were quite impressed by their amenities and service and it far exceeded our expectations. The Andong Park Tourist Hotel is really more of a 2-star hotel and was not as nice as the other hotels. Although serviceable, we recommend you use an alternative hotel in Andong for 4-5 star hotel requests by other travelers. The hotels the last two nights (Hotel the DY in Gyeongju, Eldis Regent in Daegu) were also excellent hotels on the same level as the Hanwha Resort. We enjoyed them very much. Overall, we’ve been quite satisfied by our tour. I think my mother, who was a bit nervous about what to expect, was put at ease by the professionalism and overall quality of the tour. I think that will make her feel more comfortable about the upcoming China tour for her and my father. Thanks again for checking in with me about the accommodations. Sincerely, Jonathan Choe

Dear Emma, Thank you for your follow-up email with me. I have just returned from Asia trip ( I also went to Shanghai and Taiwan to visit family after Korea) this past weekend. I very much enjoyed my time in Korea and the tour provided by Novaland! My responses in regards to your questions below: 1. How is our service throughout your tour from any aspects you feel? Such as our travel consultant, tour guide’s, drivers or others’ attitude; hotels, transportations, scenic spots’ arrangement; and any other words you would like to say to me. Response: I was very happy with the overall service provided by travel consultant, my personal tour guide Mr. Young, the hotel staff, drivers, and all that I encountered in Korea. I found the locals in Korea to be friendly and very helpful to tourists. I know that on the first day of arriving in Korea, I had missed Mr. Young picking me up at the airport, and appreciated both you, Mr. Young, and the hotel staff following up to make sure I arrived safely at hotel that night. I feel that everyone was always professional and courteous and made great effort to ensure that I was comfortable and happy! =D I was impressed by Sunbee Hotel. The Hotel service staff was very nice and knowledgeable about the area and activities nearby and my stay there felt like home. The location was convenient and had everything I needed. This accomodation was a great value for the price and I enjoyed the daily breakfast that was included there! Sunbee Hotel that Novaland arranged for me in Seoul, Korea had better overall service and resources than the 4 star Ocean Palace Hotel that I arranged for myself in Jeju Island, Korea..haha. My vacation in Korea was also really fun because Mr. Young was a wonderful tour guide! I was impressed by the personal service that I received during my four days in Seoul and he drove me everywhere I wanted to go. I am pleased that Novaland was able to provide me with my own personal guide to take me to all the places I wanted to visit. I like how customized and personal my tour was. Since Mr. Young was around my age, it was good because he also understood the things I would be most interested in seeing and we had some insightful conversations about Korean history and culture. I was able to visit everything on my sightsee list and also some additional locations and local Korean food that he suggested and I enjoyed. I can tell that Mr. Young worked very hard and sometimes went above and beyond what I have experienced with tour guides in the past - he went shopping with me and carried all my shopping bags, as well as picked me up after dinner with my friends to ensure that I got back to hotel safely. Mr. Young was very nice, attentive, supportive, and knowledgeable about all the scenic locations we visited, and he always made sure that I was comfortable during our travels and that I saw all the best highlights in Korea. Great job! I would recommend Sunbee Hotel, Mr. Young as tour guide, and also Novaland to my friends who may want to visit Asia in the future. (= 2. Where can we improve to be better and stronger? Response: I feel that Novaland was a bit expensive, and that tip to guests who arrive at Airport and cannot find Novaland driver should be advised to have information desk call local telephone number for them since we may have difficulty reaching local telephone operator. Also, in the case with me where I missed the driver on the arrival day, if the driver can stand closer to the international exit door instead of on the side facing the arrival gate in case we don't see them the first time and have turned around to look for them holding sign. 3. Other comments or memorable moments? Response: I enjoyed trying Sannakji (live Octopus in Korea), it was quite an adventure! as well as visiting the Hanbok villages, shopping in Myeongdong, and additional local highlights that Mr. Young took me to. Thank you for providing an enjoyable tour for me in Korea! Kind Regards,

Yes, I am enjoying my trip so far. I didn't made a mistake with down grading to 4 star. This is perfect for me. I would definitely recommend this tour. The replacement site to DMZ, the kimchi making was fun. I would really recommend Ms Kim in Busan. She is very knowledge local guide, I learned a lot. Thank you very much for arranging this tour for me.

Thank you for give to me and my husband a good gide in Busan. Mrs. Ki Ock Jung is a fantastic gide, she is polite, very good gide, work hard with eficience and she is a very very good person. We are going to miss her and Busan. Lindalva Miranda from Brasil. First I want to tell you that your country is wonderful and nice. The city is clean. The people are educated and young people are delicate and even try to help tourists. The people in Korea are very pleasant. The service we had on trip was great. The tourists guides were very good on their service, specially the one from Busan city! In Seoul, Mr.Lee, Soo Bok, was also a good one! The Busan guide, Mrs Ki Ock Jung, was the best... Talking about the hotels, the chosen hotels were very pleasant! But please note that apart from the hotel workers in Busan that at least one person could patiently speak english. In Jeju there was nobody who could. We had a hard time in that hotel even to ask for a soup!!!!!! And I could not takes the soup!... Explain: When we came back from tour, the restaurant from hotel was already closed. Because of that I had dinner, two days, French fries with soda, outside hotel. Or we eat potatoes,or would have to eat very spicy Korean food *:)) gargalhadas*:)) gargalhadas*:)) gargalhadas Sometimes the guide wrote for me, in Korean language, what I wanted to eat, but not so the manager and 3 others from the hotel, trying to help the manager, does not understand anything at all. Was a shame what happened. I chose good hotel! Transport was good. The last day in Korea, going to the airport, was the best. In Brazil when we do well every day and the last day we do the best, we say " closed with golden key ". And you did it. For you to be better and Strong I suggest a schedule that arrive early at the hotel, for the night to go watch a show of korean dances, things korean folklore etc. I like that a lot and not watched. It was a pity! Of course, this is my opinion, because I think in a show beyond to watch beautiful things of the Country also in the chilled out and played and laughed with people that make tour with us for several days. It's good to make interaction with people from other Countries. Thank you for the discount on the next trip. In Asia lack only know Vietnam, Laos and Nepal. The Nepal we can not go this time because of the earthquake . I hope my words will help with what you are looking for in matters of improvment of your servisse.

Hi Cindy, I have arrived back in Tokyo. Everything has been very nice so far. I just have to tell you about my hotel rooms in general. When I arrived on the 15 and I checked in at the Shiba Park hotel, they told me "Your reservation is for a double but we don't have any of those rooms available, we can give you a big single room" so I said that would be fine as I am just one person. However, I didn't realize they put me in a smoking room. At first I thought all rooms have an ashtray because smoking is allowed almost everywhere here in Japan, but now I realize they actually have non-smoking rooms. I don't smoke, but the smell from other rooms was getting into mine. Today I checked in again at the Shiba Park hotel and this time they did put me in a bigger room with a bigger bed and it is no-smoking room. The difference is remarkable. So I just want to say that I'm disappointed that I had to spend my first three nights in Japan breathing second hand smoke, which is more damaging. There is nothing I can do about now and I just feel frustrated. I wish I would have I known better to demand what I had requested. I am very happy with my room this time. It doesn't smell like cigarette at all. I didn't know better the first time or I would have asked to be changed to a non-smoking room. I was naive and didn't know. The room in Osaka also smell like cigarette, but they had an air purifier in my room so I kept it running all the time when I was in my room. Kyoto also had an ashtray in the room, but again I thought "maybe this is the way all hotels are because almost everybody smokes here". I also kept the air conditioning on to make the smell go away. I did the same thing in Fuji, just kept the air conditioning running and I opened the window too. No complains in Takayama. They gave me a non-smoking room. In general my rooms have been nice and clean. It's just that I wish I would have known better to make sure I was always put in a non-smoking room. Breathing second hand smoke is very damaging to one's health. I feel so bad this happened. Lack of experience :( Sent from my iPhone

Hi Tina, The trip was great and enjoyable. The hotel in Beijing was very nice. However the location was a little bit hard for us to find English menu Resturant. We found one with recommendation from the hotel. The sites in Beijing were wonderful. The tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. The driver was always early. The car was comfortable Xi'an, as you know the hotel was not as what we would have like. But the location was fantastic. It was lots of selections for dinner. The tour guide was probably the least friendly and not as personable when compared to the other two. But she was polite. The driver was good and always early. However the car was a bit old and not as comfortable in the back. The sites in Xi'an was very interesting. Shanghai was wonderful. You did a great job with the hotel. The location was great. It was very convenient for two nights we stayed. We could walk everywhere. The tour guide was the best. She was wonderful, very friendly and personable. Only one day we spent with her but she made us feels so comfortable. She was helpful and very bubbly. Overall the trip was very nice. Thank you for your help and prompt respond to our request during the trip. Sara and Diluks
