Hi Melody, Thanks for the note above. We had a good stay in South Korea thanks to you and your tour guides. All three of them were, punctual, very good and they made our stay in Seoul and Busan indeed memorable and enjoyable Tommy, Kim and Chul although one different to the other were all good, accommodating and spared no pains to make us comfortable and happy. We were taken around to see all the places you have mentioned and explained all the historical and cultural aspects of life and work of the Korean people. South Korea has alway interested me for its rapid development from abject poverty to what they are today - one of the leading industrial powers in the world. The tour guides - Tommy a biology graduate, Kim a history teacher and Chul a former police officer, typified to me the average character of the people of South Korea as a hard working and honest people who are happy and happy in what they did as tour guides. Their knowledge of the country, its history were excellent and they were all very patriotic people who loved their country. We also enjoyed the eating places they took us to and the Korean food. That was an experience! My wife and I are very happy and certainly will recommend your services and also the tour guides - Tommy, Kim and Chul to our friends. However I have to say that the quality of the hotels you have chosen were below our expectations, but served our purpose as just overnight stopovers. Maybe this is one area you can improve. They were not 3 star hotels although the staff were good and courteous. All in all we had a happy and contented stay in Seoul and Busan. We will certainly remember the memories and endeavour to return one day again. I am now spending 5 weeks in Sri Lanka and will be very busy for the next few days with a trip to India also in the cards. Thank you again and kind regards, Sarath & Theja Bulathsinghala

Hi Peggy, Yes, we did have a wonderful time in Busan. I must thank you for making the trip an enjoyable holidays for my family. The itinerary were just what we wanted. The arrangement of the sites and the duration of the visit to each site were well planned and organised, including the pick up and sending off to and from Busan Airport. It was a relaxing and also informative holiday for the four of us. The Tokoyo Inn Busan Station 2 was a nice and clean hotel. The staffs were able to communication in English. The rooms although compact but funtional. (For a 3 star hotel, I have no complain). Checking in and checking out were done in minutes! And of course the wifi connection was A1. The tour guide, Ms Suh, Hyang Kyung, is one of the best we have come across. Her English is very good. I strongly recommend your company to keep Kyung as your official tour guide. She carried out her job professionally. Always smiling and very friendly. She was very knowledgeble in the history and culture on the region and Korea as a whole. Of course, she also took us to some good restaurants for some delicious Korean meals! Mr Choi, the driver, was also well manner and friendly. Honestly speaking , we have no complain, whatsoever, on your company's service. I will definately be contacting you again for my next trip. We were a group of 8 from Indonesia. And we visited korea in June for 9 days, we were trying to look for a local tour agency to go to Jeju Island only. We know Novaland through internet. We wrote to a few queries to few travel agent, if i was not mistaken, it was during the weekend, and to our surprise, we received a prompt reply from Novaland represented by Ms Melody. Ever since, we received a full information about Korea, from A to Z even though we have yet decided to take Novaland as our travel agent in Korea, such as place to visit in Seoul and Jeju, table manners, basic Korean language, weather, etc .. just name it. Ms. Melody has been a great help and the best thing about her is, she never failed in replying our email even though it was on weekend!!! Upon arriving in Incheon, we didn’t get any problem at all, the pick up team from Novaland was already there waiting for us and really helpful with our luggages too. and best of all, we also received a phone call from novaland office (I forget the lady’s name) asking how was our flight and stuff. Our tour guide in Jeju also amazing, Mr Peter. He is a very friendly and helpful gentleman. Too bad the weather in Jeju at that time was raining, so we can’t really enjoy the sightseeing and the wind was so strong that certain tourist spot was cancelled (like ladies’ diving performance). In a nutshell, we are so happy and satisfied with Novaland Tour’s arrangmenent and services, specially the agent that liase with us, Ms. Melody, even at the end of our tour, she still send email to us asking how are we doing in Seoul and she even offer her help in case we need help in Seoul during our trip. Thank you Novaland and thank you Ms Melody. I will surely recommend your company to any of my friend who want to visit Korea. My additional comments : 1. Since it was raining and we are not prepare the umbrella, it will be better if you prepare enough umbrella in the car or disposable raincoat. 2. Since it was our first time to Korea and Jeju island, so we don’t know how is the situation of the place of interest to visit on the next day, it will be best if you could tell us what is the dress code (what to wear and what to bring). For example: when we visited the rock on the beach, my aunt was wearing high heels, so .. it was so difficult for her to walk. 3. Last one was, Korean food was yummy but spicy. We have 2 little kid who cannot eat spice, may be you can consider other non spice food for children Other than the above, everything was very good. Your service and hospitality was so amazing. I don’t know how to summarized this letter to put into your web, you have my permission to cut it short if you want to put this on your website. Hi Tina, Thank you so much for preparing the Korea Tour Package for us. We had a wonderful time in Korea. We will remember this trip forever. These are comments about the Hotels: Pacific Hotel: Good location, good services, nice hotel. We would love to come back and stay at this hotel next time. The Grand Daegu Hotel: Good location, services were ok. Hotel Kolon Gyeongju: Good View, not good services, the bathroom needs to remodel. The lobby is nice, but all floors need to remodel. We didn't like this hotel much. Haeundae Grand Hotel: Good location, good view, good services, nice hotel. We would love to come back and stay at this hotel next time. The tour guides: Mr. Charlie: Nice, speaks English well, we had him for only 1 day for the DMZ tour. Mr. Yoon: Nice, friendly, open and caring towards us. He spent time with us for the rest of the tour. We were so happy to see him when he took us to the airport to depart to U.S.A. In the future, if we go to Korea again, then we wish he would be our tour guide. Transportation: We were so pleased with the arrangement from Busan to Seoul by Express Train. The van was nice, clean and comfortable to drive from city to city during the tour. The drivers: The first driver was nice, he was at the airport when we arrived. We were so sorry about the mistake with the money, we wanted to give him $10 for the tip, but we gave the wrong bill which was $1. We didn't know his name, would you please tell him. Mr. Charlie: He was a good driver. Mr. Yoon: He was a good driver, he knows where he goes and does very well. We trusted him. Travel Consultants: Tina Wu, we don't know her in person, but she did a good job. We will ask for her next time when we travel to Korea again. Well done, Tina. Ms. Jina, we don't know her in person, but she did a good job too. After all, We will tell our friends and families, if they want to go to Korea, we will tell them to go with NOVALAND TOURS. Hi, Joanna, Yes, I did get off by mistake in Ulsan. After 4 hours in the station, I was so tired that I fell asleep. Two men were talking with loud voices next to me, and suddenly I heard an announcement that ended with -san. Afraid to miss my stop, I jumped off. I had to hurry because the train doesn't stop long and I had to get my luggage from the compartment. I just made it off before the train pulled out. Anyway, I believe I was truly blessed that night because it was late, and I ended up being alone on the platform, but a wonderful policeman came to my assistance; didn't speak English, went to get someone who did--and it must have been a distance because he was gone for at least 10 minutes. He returned with someone who let me use his phone--my battery was dead--and then they both helped me on the train, spoke to the train stewardess, asking her to help me get off in Busan, and I am sure they called ahead to Busan to notify a taxi driver because he was out of the taxi looking for me. And, as I said, he refused a tip, so I know he was being helpful and not trying to scam me. Actually, it turned out to be one of the best experiences, so you don't need to apologize. But, yes, 4 hours in the Seoul station on a Sunday afternoon is too long unless one is able to check baggage. Then it would have been fine--I could have walked around, gone sightseeing, ate in restaurants, etc. I hope this will be helpful to future travelers; but, it never once made me discontent with you or Novaland. It just happened to be an extremely busy Sunday evening. I wasn't the only one standing. I would like to see your photos, especially of your daughter! How wonderful! Yes, I will now get some photos ready and forward to you. You will see that I had a wonderful time. I'm sad my trip is over. I'll be back....like Sylvester Stallone in the movie Terminator--I'll be back. :-) But, seriously, I will hopefully be taking other Asian tours next year. Sincerely Janet

Hi Tina, We had a fun filled trip to Seoul Korea. Thank you for your help and assistance. Our tour guide, Elvis, is very friendly, accommodating and very helpful to us all. Thank you for assigning him to our group. We really appreciate him for his wide knowledge about the history and culture of Korea. Apart from that, he is also a funny person and sings very well too. In fact, he sung to us different versions of Arirang! All in all, we had a nice and memorable trip to South Korea! Hi Tina, We are finally back !! It's good to travel but it's also good to be home after such a long trip. Overall we were very pleased with how our tour went. We did not have any problems with being picked up or transportation. Everyone was their to greet us and take us to the next destination. Our tour guide in Seoul was Chue (maybe not spelled correctly), he was exceptional, we all loved his positive attitude. We still takes about how great he was. He took a special liking to her. He is a very humble man and I can't say enough good things about him. Our tour guide in Busan was Joy. She was also very good but the bar was set so high by Chue. It was nice that she had her own driver, that allowed her to focus on pointing things out while he was driving. She had a true passion for Korean and the city of Busan. Some of the highlights were the Seoul Tower, DMZ tour, and the Korean Folk Village. While at the DMZ tour we were interviewed for a TV program called 'Ariang Today'. The interview was on TV about 3 days later and we were able to watch it while in Busan. We are TV stars in Korea !!!!. In Busan the highlights were the Geyongju City and Yonggusan Temple. Busan is such a beautiful city. Joy recommended we take a night time cruise in the harbor and that was such a wonderful idea, we did it that night and got some wonderful pictures. I like how flexible things were, one day Taylor (my daughters friend) did not feel good so Joy adjusted the schedule to meet our needs. The food was a bit of a challenge but that's because the American diet is so different from Korean diet. I think both our guides knew we struggled with the local cuisine and helped us make adjustments each day. The only thing I would change is that we did see a lot of temples (I think at least six). We were 'Templed' out by the end of the trip. You and your team did a fantastic job with all aspects. The communication prior to the trip and all the accomodations during the trip were exactly as I had hoped for. Thank you for helping make this a truly wonderful experience for my family.

I realize we have corresponded more than 60 emails between us due to my many requests! Yet you took the trouble to answer everyone of them and make sure most of my requests were acceded. Not to mention how you helped with the last minute cancellation of my husband participation in the tour. My sincere thanks to you. • • We also would like to extend our appreciation for the excellent service provided by Mr. Young throughout the trip. • He was very knowledgeable about Korea, educating us in many aspects of the country. We learnt a lot from him. • We had many difficult requests especially in our meal requirements, but he also took trouble to ensure we always had what we wanted and at the same time tried all the various Korean delicacies. • He was very flexible with the tour timing even accommodating our request to late night shopping. • Mr Young always ensured that my parents and daughters are well taken care of throughout the journey. At the end of the trip, all of us were like friends! • I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone who wishes to tour Korea in free and easy way. • If there is any blemish for the trip is that I would not recommend Pacific Hotel. The location is quite good however, the room is too old and small. The service at front desk is also not that fantastic. Anyway that is not a big deal. I would just like to say a big thank you to all at Novaland and I would definitely use Novaland again for my future tours. Thank you! I would reply you on the refund issue in a separate email. The hotel room is dirty, smelly, air condition doesn't work properly and my daughter had mosquito bite in her room. I would not recommend for hotel Rex for your customers. Good Morning Lillian – I forgot to mention that almost all of our tours were private so we REALLY got a good deal! Thanks again Sharon The arrangements were the very best. The guides always called the night before and the driver always at the airport or train depot at the correct times. (Our plane was 3 hours late in arriving in Seoul because of a missed connection in Los Angeles which was a fault caused by United). This really gave us trust in Novaland because we came into a country we knew nothing about…….and could have easily felt stranded. The hotels were extra helpful especially Hotel Sunbee. The people all over Korea would help us with directions or answer our questions. My daughter Jill even started reading the Korean Symbols…I was very proud and the guides impressed. The guide in Gwangju and driver went over and above what they needed to do. We went to the Orphanage but it was really another facility where Jill was brought to when she was abandoned in 1969. The reason she was then sent to Seoul was because she could be adopted so this was the procedure then and still exists in Gwangju. We went through that Shelter for children, which has 53 children right now ages 1 day – about age 16. This had never been done before but since Jill and I were there from theUS they were most kind in showing through the facility with the rooms of children and volunteers coming in and caring for them. The guide also gave Jill her email in the event that she can discover more about herself from the files in Seoul. We loved JeJu, it was beautiful and the Coach Tours were perfect. We enjoyed Busan especially seeing theYonggungsa Temple. Our favorite guides were “Yoon” taking us to Mt Seorak, seeing the woman divers and taking us for a delicious lunch with mackerel and “Charlie” going to DMZ. He sang original Korean Folk songs to us + Elvis’s Houndog! If there was a highlight spot it probably was making Kimchi in the private home in Seoul. It was so much fun getting our pictures taken in the Hanbok and making the Kimchi and then having the most delicious lunch. The hostess couldn’t pronounce “Refrigerator” so we had fun teaching her with our 5 fingers for the syllables. (It was a Refrigerator + a freezer but we didn’t want to add to the confusion J) We carried the kimchi to JeJu, Gwangju and back to Seoul because it needed to be refrigerated. My Kimchi made it to Minnesota but Jill’s cracked open a bit and soiled some of her clothes which just added to the adventure along with the cab driver having difficulties finding the correct road and since the guide knew where to go we just walked about 8 blocks! So ends the saga of the kimchi except now I can’t find anyone who wants to eat it with me! We definitely would recommend Novaland Tours to anyone. You do an exceptional job.
