Day 1 Amman Arrival
Amman, the capital of Jordan, is a historic mountain city with a pleasant climate and beautiful scenery. With white as the base tone, the rose-colored buildings are scattered on a dozen hills. Amman is friendly and welcoming. There are many historical sites, restaurants and luxury hotels in the city. The strong Arab atmosphere and modern modern fashion sense complement each other here. Before cycling, you can walk around Amman, take a turn, and feel the charm of Middle Eastern cities.
Day 2 Amman to Dead Sea(59km)
The roads in Amman are very crazy. Because this is a mountain city, the roads are almost all ups and downs, and it takes a lot of physical effort to ride a bicycle. Once driving out of Amman, it was very easy. With the declining altitude, the road began to turn downhill. The road leading to the Dead Sea is very magnificent, with deserts, Gobi, farmland, and herdsmen’s sheep on both sides of the road. The view is wide and refreshing. Once you reach the four seas, you can enjoy the fun, float, SPA.
Day 3 Dead Sea to Madaba(50km)
It is very difficult to ride a bicycle from the Dead Sea to Madaba. The day before, it was still "the belly button of the earth", and today's altitude is about to rise to 1,000 meters. Make sure to bring plenty of food and water. If you encounter difficulties, you can ask riders and locals for help. Almost all Jordanians are hospitable and admire people who ride across their country. If you still have energy after you arrive, you can consider going to Mount Nebo to pay homage to this holy land.
Day 4 Madaba to Karak (100km)
Madaba is the famous "Mosaic City" with a history of more than 3,500 years. The most fascinating thing here is the mosaic map that vividly depicts Jerusalem and the Holy Land, completed in the 6th century in the park.
Karak Castle is one of the most famous desert castles in Jordan. It is built on the top of a hill at an altitude of 960 meters in the south of Karak. The length is 3 meters. Here is inextricably related to the Crusades, and retains the precious legacy of that period.
Day 5 Karak to Dana Nature Reserve (99km)
Cycling continuously south along the King’s Highway, one of the oldest trade routes in the world, through the valleys and hills, and you will see the Dana Nature Reserve. Dana is the largest nature reserve in Jordan. In addition to various wild animals such as coyotes and owls, there are four separate ecosystems. This means that in winter, it may be snowing at the highest altitude of Dana, while the temperature at the lower altitude may be 20°C. It is highly recommended to take a rest here, stay in a resort to experience the original ecology of Dana, or camping.
Day 6 Dana Nature Reserve to Petra (65km)
The road from Dana to Petra is relatively straight, and the slope does not fluctuate much. Along the way, you will see other desert castles and camels leisurely foraging on the side of the road. The small town of Wadi Musa is a transit point for Petra. There are various types of hotels and restaurants in the town. It is a good choice to spend a day here.
Day 7 Explore Petra
There are many historical sites, restaurants and luxury hotels in the city. The strong Arab atmosphere and modern modern fashion sense complement each other here. Before cycling, you can walk around, take a turn, and feel the charm of Middle Eastern cities.
Day 8 Petra to Wadi Ram (101km)
From Petra to Wadi Rum, you still need to return to the King’s Highway. After about 90 kilometers, you will be able to exit the road and follow the desert to the camp. You can’t ride a bike when you come to Mars. You need to change to a local off-road vehicle to enter the depths of the desert. Yellow, red, and pink sands make Wadi Rum unpredictable. Rock climbing, hot air balloons, and beach sliding make Wadi Rum more wild.
Day 9 Wadi Rum to Aqaba (82km)
"Half sea water, half flame" is the best description of Aqaba. This is a beautiful coastal city, the Red Sea is clear and transparent, and the blue is surprising. The best activities here are diving and staying, just enjoy it quietly.
Cycling to Jordan, measuring dreams on wheels, watching the scenery, tasting food, and experiencing local customs. Don't be afraid of tanning, don't be afraid of hard journeys, experience is a kind of wealth.
