Aomori

Hakkoda Snow Corridor
This road is closed to traffic during the winter season, and towering snow walls are formed on both sides as snow is plowed creating the snow corridor. The walls reach up to 10 meters in some portions.
Hakkoda Ropeway
The Hakkōda Ropeway (八甲田ロープウェー Hakkōda Rōpuwē?) is the name of a Japanese aerial lift line, as well as its operator. Opened in 1968, the line climbs Mount Tamoyachi in the Hakkōda Mountains in Aomori, Aomori. It transports skiers and rime spectators in winter, and hikers in other seasons.
Hakkoda Mountains incident Museum
The Hakkoda Mountains incident occurred on January 23, 1902, when a group of Imperial Japanese Army soldiers became lost in a blizzard on the Hakkōda Mountains in Aomori Prefecture in northern Honshu, Japan, en route to Tashiro Hot Spring located in the Hakkōda Mountains. The 199 deaths during a single ascent make it the world's largest mountaineering disaster in the modern history of mountain climbing.
Aomori Prefecture Tourist Center ASPAM
The ASPAM is a triangle-shaped building after the image of the letter “A” from “Aomori”. It is a 76-meter (249 feet) tall building with 15 floors, and is the central facility for local information about Aomori.
Sukayu Onsen
is a mountainous hot spring that has been accessible for over 300 years. The facility is a timber building, the oldest in Hakkoda area. Surrounded by great wilderness such as Mt. Hakkoda, Suiren Numa Pond, and Jogakura Gorge.
Takayama Inari Shrine
Takayama Inari Shrine is a Shinto shrine located in the city of Tsugaru, Aomori Prefecture, Japan. The shrine is dedicated to Inari Ōkami. Takayama Inari Shrine is notable for the many red torii that wind along its path.
Seiryu-ji Temple
located in suburb of Aomori City, has beautiful buildings,such as the Japan’s forth height five-story pagoda made totally of Aomori Hiba and Kondo. Especially, Showa Daibutsu, with height of 2,135 meters,is Japan’s largest seated bronze statue of Buddha, even larger than one of Nara or Kamakura
Kayano Kogen
which stretches out at the foot of the Hakkoda Mountain Range. In early summer, a carpet of fresh foliage covers the area. In autumn, you can see an up-close view of the autumn leaves of Hakkoda Mountains.
Asamushi Onsen Village
This is the Onsen Village of Aomori, which features resort hotels and the flavor of the old onsen town. Tsugaru Shamisen performances are held daily to be enjoyed free of charge. There is foot bath in front of the station and in the park.
Osorezan
Mount Osorezan (恐山) is ranked along with Koyasan and Hieizan as one of Japan's three most sacred places. It was discovered over 1000 years ago by a Buddhist priest in search of a sacred mountain that resembles the world of Buddha. Today, it is the site of Bodaiji Temple.
