Early morning transfer to railway station to board Shatabdi express train to Amritsar.

Day 03: Amritsar-Dharamshala
Morning after breakfast car transfer to Dharamshala (210 Kms / 6 hrs approx). Later sight-seeing of Dharamshala including His HolinessThe Dalai Lama's Monastery.

The Dalai Lama's Monastery: There are many Dharamsala attractions to choose from, but among the top things to do in Dharamshala is a visit to the residence, monastery, and temple of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.
The Dalai Lama temple complex, on Temple Road, is just a short walk from the Mcleod Ganj bus stand in upper Dharamsala. The temple complex is open daily, from sunrise to sunset, and visitors are welcome to explore the peaceful ambiance of the surroundings.
Day 04: Dharamshala–Jammu
After breakfast leave for visit to Bhagsunath temple and SOS Tibetan refugee camp and school.
Later car transfer to Jammu (204 kms 5 hrs approx).
Overnight at Jammu
BhagsunathTemple, a medieval temple, is one of the chief attractions of McLeodganj. Located at a distance of 3 km from middle of the town, the temple is a revered place for Hindus and the Gorkha community. Two pools in the temple complex is also an attraction.
Day 05: Jammu-Srinagar
Early morning visit the famous Raghunath Temples. Later transfer to airport for flight to Srinagar. On arrival transfer to DalLake from where you will be transferred by "Shikara" (Gandola type boats) to Super Deluxe Houseboat. Afternoon free to relax on the lake.

RaghunathTemple is a well-known holy shrine of the Hindus. Located in Jammu, Raghunath Mandir is one of the largest temple complexes of the Northern part of India. The temple is dedicated to Lord Rama, who is believed to be an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. In 1835, the construction of this temple was started by the founder of Jammu & Kashmir, Maharaja Gulab Singh. After the death of Gulab Singh, it was completed by his son, Maharaja Rambir Singh in 1860. One can easily reach this temple from Srinagar/ JammuAirport by hiring taxis or by taking regular buses from the cities.
DalLake has rightfully become an icon of the Kashmir tourism industry. A Himalayan urban lake, it has five basins and a number of channels that are well linked with each other. There are plenty of fishes in DalLake and fishery is the second largest industry of the region centered on the lake. The sparkling quiet waters of Dal surrounded by snow-capped mountains on its three sides, undoubtedly mark it as one of the most beautiful lakes of India. It is also the second largest lake in the State of Jammu and Kashmir with numerous gardens and orchards all along its shores. Houseboats form an indelible part of the scenery of the Dal Lake that are always ready to take tourists to a romantic and peaceful ride of the lake and soothe their nerves as the houseboat floats over the slightly rippling waters. They also offer some of the most exotic views of the splendid scenery of the DalLake.
Day 06: Srinagar
Morning leave for half day tour of MughalGardens, Nishat -"the Garden of pleasure, Shalimar - "the Abode love and Charma Shahi - "the Royal Spring". Return to houseboat for lunch.
Afternoon visit the Shankracharya temple and Carpet weaving factory.
Evening 1 - 2 hour Shikara ride on the DalLake.
Overnight on houseboat.

Carpet weaving factory: ShankaracharyaTemple is an ancient temple that finds its origin in the 4th century. Located on Gopadari Hill in the south-east of Srinagar, ShankaracharyaTemple lies at a height of 1100 feet above surface level of the city. The temple is easily accessible from the city by regular buses from Srinagar. In order to ensure a comfortable journey, one can opt for taxis that are readily available throughout the city.
“A hand-knotted carpet of Kashmir is perhaps the most coveted of textile weaves; a passionately ornate work of art.” Carpet weaving is said to have been introduced in Kashmir from Persia and Central Asia. A little over five centuries ago Zain-ul-Abidin (1423-1474 AD) brought carpet weavers from Samarkand. After flourishing for some time the craft appears to have become extinct only to reappear in Emperor Janangir’s time. A Kashmiri Muslim Akhun Mulla Hussain Rahnuma went to perform the Haj pilgrimage via Central Asia. On his way back he visited Andijan in Persia where carpets were manufactured. There he picked up the art and re-started an industry in Kashmir.
Day 07: Srinagar-Gulmarg (2730 M)
After early breakfast car transfer to Gulmarg (52 kms / 1 ½ hrs approx) also known as the meadow of flowers. The road from Srinagar rises gently towards the lower stopes of the Pirpanjal range passing through rice and maize fields. Gulmarg is paradise for Golfers and for winter sports. On an clear day one can have clear view of Nanga Parbat (5th highest mountain in the world) also of WularLake, the largest FreshWaterLake of Asia.
Rest of day free for independent activities.

Day 08: Gulmarg-Srinagar
After breakfast leave for Srinagar.

Day 09: Srinagar-Pahalgam (2130)
After breakfast leave for Pahalgam (95 Kms / 2.5 hrs approx) also known as the "Valley of shepherds" en-route visit Avantipura Ruins (build in years 855 AD dedicated to Lord Vishnu), Marland Temple (build by Lalitaditya in 699 AD) dedicated to "Surya", the Sun God.
Afternoon: Free to explore this beautiful valley.
Overnight at Pahalgam
The Awantipura Ruins in Pahalgam, J&K reflects the devotion of Emperor Avantivarman [also spelled as Awantivarman], who ruled over the Jammu & Kashmir region during the 9th Century AD. He had the Shrine of Awantipura erected amidst the lush green valleys of Jammu & Kashmir, a definite place of utmost peace and tranquility for all devotees to enjoy the spiritual presence of Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu, who are also known as the two prime presiding deities of the Awantipura Temple.
Day 10: Pahalgam-Srinagar-Delhi
After breakfast car transfer back to Srinagar airport in time for flight to Delhi.

Later visit the world famous Taj Mahal, Agra fort & Tomb of Itmad - ud- daula. Overnight at Agra
The Taj Mahal is the epitome of Mughal art and one of the most famous buildings in the world. Yet there have been few serious studies of it and no full analysis of its architecture and meaning. Ebba Koch, an important scholar,has been permitted to take measurements of the complex and has been working on the palaces and gardens of Shah Jahan for thirty years and on the Taj Mahal itself—the tomb of the emperor's wife, Mumtaz Mahal—for a decade.
Fort (Emperor Akbar commissioned the construction of this fort in 1565, although additions were continued to be made till the time of his grandson Shah Jahan. The Fort houses some exquisite buildings within like the Moti Masjid, Diwan – e- Am, Diwan – e – Khas, and Sheesh Mahal.)
Tomb of Itmad - ud- daula:One of the lesser-known monuments of Agra, the tomb of Itimad ud Daulah is sometimes called the 'Baby Taj' because of its resemblance to Agra's most famous monument. However Itmad ud Daulah's Tomb was built before the Taj Mahal. A number of its stylistic features, such as a tomb in white marble surrounded by a formal garden and the use of inlaywork in marble to create floral or geometric designs, inspired similar features of the Taj Mahal. Day 12: Agra-Fatehpur Sikri-Delhi
After breakfast drive back to Delhi on the way visit Fatehpur Sikri built.
Transfer to international airport for flight to onward destination.
atehpur Sikri: Built during the second half of the 16th century by the Emperor Akbar, Fatehpur Sikri (the City of Victory) was the capital of the Mughal Empire for only some 10 years. The complex of monuments and temples, all in a uniform architectural style, includes one of the largest mosques in India, the Jama Masjid.
