12 Days Legendary Journey of Egypt with Nile Cruise

Egypt, a Mysterious and Legendary Land!

To visit the ancient wonders of Egypt is to follow a path carved out through millennia by the Greeks, Romans, Medieval pilgrims, Egyptologists and, now, travelers.

Visitors to Egypt are drawn to witness the rise and fall of Ancient Egypt civilizations. It is one of the four ancient civilizations in the world. The ancient Egyptian civilization refers to the history of the Tassa culture from 5000 BC to the Arab conquest of Egypt in 641 AD from the first waterfall to the delta of the Nile. In more than 3000 years, they built huge pyramids, obelisks, temples and tombs. These temples and tombs provided the secrets of the pharaohs (Egyptian kings and queens) and the gods they worshiped. It also created an advanced medical system in the world at that time. The Ancient Egypt civilizations exerted a huge influence on later civilizations such as ancient Greece, ancient Rome, and Judea.

Beyond the astonishing antiquities, it’s a magical country that swirls with myth, legend and mysticism.

Travel to Egypt is not only for the natural scenery and culture, but mostly for the ancient Egyptian civilization that has prospered for thousands of years and the history remains. when you face these thousand-year-old ruins with your own eyes, you will wish to know the Myths and stories behind these Symbols on the wall.

【Key of life】

The ancient Egyptians worshiped life and believed in the cycle of life and death. After death, people have to pass through many gates to reach the gate of new  life. At this time, they must use the key of life to open the gate and rebirth.

Symbols of life often appear in burial ceremonies, carried by gods or people, or pointed to the king as the breath of life.

【Sesen】

The symbol of Upper Egypt represents creation and rebirth. Because the lotus flower closes at night and sinks into the water, then rises at dawn and opens again. The lotus flower becomes a symbol of rebirth, life renewal, and promise of eternal afterlife.

【Scarab】

Represents the rising sun god. Scarab, commonly known as Dung beetle, the ancient Egyptians believed that the sun was driven by a huge scarab like a ball of dung to move from the east to the west, so the scarab became a messenger between humans and the sun god Amon.

【Popular Destinations and Attractions in Egypt】

Cairo

· Giza Pyramids & The Great Sphinx

The last remaining wonder of the ancient world; for nearly 4000 years, the extraordinary shape, impeccable geometry and sheer bulk of the Giza Pyramids have invited the obvious questions: ‘How were we built, and why?’

Centuries of research have given us parts of the answer. Built as massive tombs on the orders of the pharaohs, they were constructed by teams of workers tens-of-thousands strong. Today they stand as an awe-inspiring tribute to the might, organisation and achievements of ancient Egypt.

Right beside the Pyramid,  this sculpture of a man with the haunches of a lion was dubbed the Sphinx by the ancient Greeks because it resembled their mythical winged monster who set riddles and killed anyone unable to answer them. A geological survey has shown that it was most likely carved from the bedrock at the bottom of the causeway during Khafre’s reign, so it probably portrays his features.

· Old Cairo

Old Cairo is a historic area in Cairo, Egypt, which includes the site of a Roman-era fortress and of Islamic-era settlements pre-dating the founding of Cairo proper  in AD 969. It is also considered part of what is referred to as "Historic Cairo" or "Islamic Cairo", and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Once called the Great Necropolis of Millions of Years of Pharaoh, or the Place of Truth, the Valley of the Kings has 63 magnificent royal tombs.

· Luxor and Karnak Temple

Karnak is an extraordinary complex of sanctuaries, kiosks, pylons and obelisks dedicated to the Theban triad but also to the greater glory of pharaohs. The site covers more than 2 sq km; it's large enough to contain about 10 cathedrals.

Luxor Temple is a strikingly graceful monument in the heart of the modern town.
