You’ll experience authentic Khmer traditions, culture, religion, food and street life first-hand. Discover the charm and faded beauty of a country with a turbulent past that is now moving rapidly into the modern world. The Mekong River meandered through another mysterious and beautiful country before reaching Vietnam, that is Cambodia. As a popular travel destination in Southeast Asia, Cambodia, an ancient pocket country, is still full of mystery in the eyes of the world and has an irresistible travel charm.
As the film shooting location of "Tomb Raider", Angkor Wat gives a mysterious impression. It is known as one of the four wonders of ancient East, with the most grand and well-preserved monuments. The wide slate sages, the bath against the blue sky and white clouds, the relief of the statue of the goddess who has been smiling for hundreds of years, and the magnificent and beautiful relief corridor all make people feel reverie and awe.
Here, the most unmissable thing is the sunrise, feeling the magical changes of light and shadow every minute, the pink clouds dyed the sky and reflected in the pool, the mysterious veil of Angkor Temple is slowly unveiled in front of you.
Special experiences in Angkor
In addition to Apsara, there are also famous Khmer shadow puppets (similar to Chinese shadow puppet plays), which were listed as intangible cultural heritage in 2005. In addition, Khmer carvings, lacquerware, and hand-knitting are also very famous.
Cambodians greet each day with a heartfelt, sincere and infectious smile. This "Khmer smile" was once engraved on the face of the four-faced Buddha of Bayon Temple by Angkor artisans. Today, after 1000 years, this smile has continued on their descendants and became the cultural symbol of the Khmer nation. It represents a humble, kind, tolerant and optimistic attitude towards life. This is really a smile to earn a life and win the future Nation.

Cambodia's climate is governed by the monsoon winds, which define two major seasons. From mid-May to early October, the strong prevailing winds of the southwest monsoon bring heavy rains and high humidity. From early November to mid-March, the lighter and drier winds of the northeast monsoon bring variable cloudiness, infrequent precipitation, and lower humidity. The weather between these seasons is transitional.
Maximum temperatures are high throughout the year, ranging from about 82 to 83 °F (28 °C) in January, the coolest month, to about 95 °F (35 °C) in April. The rains come when the winds shift into the southwest monsoon from May to November. During this period, you can expect the most precipitation in Cambodia throughout the months of September and October. Cambodia heats up steadily from February to April, with temperatures peaking as high as 40°C in April. Temperatures remain high in May and June, and the southwest monsoon brings in more humidity and some very sticky days! From July through October there will certainly be some rainfall, but it usually comes in short showers. Unless you're in remote areas with bad roads, travelling is perfectly comfortable during these months. It's also nice to see the rice paddies and tropical foliage at their most green and lush.
The best months to visit Cambodia are December and January, with dry weather and lower humidity levels – of course, this is also the busiest time of year when you can expect some crowds and higher prices.
