When is the Off-peak season in my tour destination? Please see some examples below for your reference:
The two months of Summer and Winter season at December, January, February, early March (except Christmas & New Year) The heat and humidity of the Japanese summer (July, August) is not for everyone. However, Japan has some beautiful beaches to cool off at, so this season can be an opportunity to relax on the beaches of Okinawa, and perhaps even enjoy the indoor activities with family and kids at museums and theme parks while they are in the school holiday.
Japanese winter is usually dry and sunny although it is cold. the air is clear and the sky is blue. it is the best season to see the snow peak of Mount Fuji. The landscapes are under a layer of white snow which creates a magical atmosphere.
Another beauty of the scenery is the flowering of the ume, Japanese plum trees. They bloom as early as February in Tokyo and Kansai (Kyoto and Osaka region), and their intense pink flowers appear in parks and temples all over, which is as beautiful as the Cherry Blossom.
Winter is also the best season to experience an onsen bath in Japan. especially outdoors, What could be better than enjoying the steaming hot waters surrounded by charming snow-dusted landscapes?
December to March (except Christmas/New Year/Lunar New Year: early February) Winter is generally low season but if you are a fan of winter sports, this is when to visit South Korea. Head to the Gangwon-do region where most of the snow falls and ski resorts located. the Yongpyong Resort is one of the biggest & fully equipped ski resorts, the 2018 winter Olympics were held there.
Winter is also the best season to try the traditional Korea food include delicious pork belly or beef BBQ; seafood, Kimchi, or Tofu hot pot...
Winter can be bitingly cold in Korea, and there is a lot of snow. This must restrict your access to a few of the more remote areas in the peninsula, but all the cities will still be well connected. This is the best time to visit South Korea if you want to avoid the crowds entirely!
November to March (except Chinese New Year: later January or early to middle February) China is big, winter temperature is in big difference from north to south. In northern China, it's usually below zero starts from November, but in south china, the temperature is usually between 8 to 20°C?in winter. Yunnan in south China just steps into the autumn season when other places in the North is covered with snow already. Whether the beauty of golden ginkgo leaves or the early flower blossom scenery because of the warm weather and long hours of sunshine, South China should be your first choice in Winter. Of course, if you are interested in snow and ice sculpture, as well as the Chinese New Year Festival & other cultural activities, then Harbin, Beijing in north China, are must-visit places.
January, February, May, June, July, August, September (except Tet Lunar New Year & May 1~5.) Just as same as other southeast Asian countries, Vietnam's raining season is annoying. But Vietnam is a country with long coastline cross over 1000km from north to south, so the weather condition at the north, east, and south is in big difference too.
The North of Vietnam is more temperate, with the average temperature at 25 Celsius degree; part of the area is cold in winter. The famous tourist destinations are Hanoi; Halong Bay & Sa Pa. while the South of Vietnam has a higher average temperature and contributes 80% to the total rainfall amount of the whole country. The South has a wet season from May to October and a dry season from November to April. famous tour destinations are Hu Chi Ming, Mekong Delta; Mui Ne and Dalat...
In general, the dry season in Vietnam is March~April; October~December.
If you are traveling in offseason like January & February, we suggest you spend more time at south and East of Vietnam; while North Vietnam in spring and summer with cooler temperature (except Halong bay in summer due to the raining may course high water level)
July to October In general, seasons are less well-defined in the country's southern regions like Thailand, where there are basically only two seasons: rainy and dry. On the west coast, the heaviest rainfall occurs from April to October; while the east coast receives the most rain from September and December. During the rainy season, it rains almost every day in major tourist centers like Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and Phuket. That said, the rains are often very brief, occurring for a short but intense period in the late afternoon or early evening, so it’s possible to plan around them.
The countryside is especially lush and beautiful as a result of the abundant rainfall.? Tour groups are typically smaller, which means the opportunity to interact more closely with your guides and other group members. The beaches and attractions are also less crowded, allowing for a vacation that's quieter and more laid-back overall.
But, to be aware, due to the fewer tourists, some of the facilities may close or only half open which may bring disappointment.
